As the weather gets nicer and everyone starts rolling out their grills, we recommend salmon burgers as a great alternative to your traditional beef burger. It’s one of our go-to meals that we enjoy a few times a year. We have tried a couple of recipes but this one from Cooking Light is our favorite and includes lettuce, cucumbers, and a lime-cilantro-jalapeño mayonnaise for toppings.

We accompanied the burgers with some quick and easy sweet potato chips. When buying the salmon from your fish guy (yes, Philippe has a fish guy…his name is Ray), ask him to remove the skin to save you some work.

Sweet Potato Chips:
- 2 sweet potatoes, scrubbed and sliced 1/8 inch thick
- 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Toss potatoes with oil and spices, and spread out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 11 to 25 minutes until crispy, flipping over halfway.
